Initially, the incident appears to involve joint charges of assault causing grievous bodily harm, given the severity of the victim's injuries. However, they await the results of the autopsy report, which officers are requesting from the treating physician, who is still providing medical care.
Preliminarily, the investigative team has identified three male suspects responsible for assaulting Mr. Thanapon, causing serious injury: 1. Mr. Samrit Rimthuean, aka Suea Dusit; 2. Mr. Maitri Saengrit, 28; and 3. Mr. Anon Jansorn, 36.
The reporter asked the superintendent of Rattanathibet Police Station about Suea Dusit's declaration that he "is not afraid of the Nonthaburi police" and how the police would respond. Police Colonel Phrut Chamruensat replied, "The first question is, who is Suea Dusit? I do not know him. Influence does not matter; if someone breaks the law, they will all face charges."
According to reports, police are currently gathering evidence to request an arrest warrant from the Nonthaburi Provincial Court on charges of jointly causing grievous bodily harm, carrying a penalty exceeding five years, without issuing summonses.
