Husband Grieves as Wife Disappears in Gas Station Restroom, Later Found Dead

A grieving husband said his wife asked to stop at a gas station restroom and disappeared for a long time; she was later found dead. Police and forensic officers arrived to investigate.at the scene.It is suspected she fainted and died from a pre-existing medical condition.

At 17:30 on 25 February 2026,Police Lieutenant SarayutSanthat, deputy investigator at Bang Khun Thian Police Station, received a report of a death inside a gas station restroom on Bang Khun Thian-Bang Bon Road, Bang Bon Subdistrict, Bang Bon District, Bangkok, and went to investigate with volunteersfrom Poh Teck Tung Foundationand forensic doctors from Siriraj Hospital.

The scene was the women's restroom beside the gas station; in the first stall, a female victim was found with a laceration on her forehead.Bydescription, the deceased wore a cream T-shirt, a blue jacket, and blue long pants, lying face down inside the restroom before rescue workers removed the body. Initially, no other wounds were found besides the forehead injury.

Upon questioning, Mr. Tamwat Hongto, 63, the deceased's husband,said,he was traveling from Rayong Province to return to their home near Ekachai 89. During the trip, his wife needed to use the restroom, so he stopped at the gas station to let her go. Shortly after, their grandchild traveling with them began to fuss, so he went to fetch his wife from the restroom. Hearing no response, he asked gas station staff to help open the door and discovered that the wifewasunconscious and had died.as stated.

Investigators from Bang Khun Thian Police Station took the husband for further questioning. The cause of death is believed to be related to a pre-existing illness causing her to faint in the restroom and subsequently die.

The relatives expressed no objection to the cause of death. The Poh Teck Tung Foundation volunteerstransported the body to the forensic department at Siriraj Hospital before the family took the body for religious rites./
