"Nana-Way" avoided the media and appeared in court to answer the defendants' testimony in a fraud case, denying all charges to contest the case. The court scheduled an evidence review for 25 May.

At the duty room of the Criminal Court at 09:30 on 26 Feb, the court held a hearing for the defendants’ testimony in case number Black No. Or.508/2569. The Economic and Resources Crime Division 2 prosecutors filed charges against Ms. Nana Ribena, 44, and Mr. Prinya Inthachai, known as Way Thaitanium, also 44, a famous rapper and the married couple. The defendants also include Flick of Delight Production Company Limited and Ribena 2016 Company Limited as defendants one to four, respectively. They are charged with conspiracy to commit fraud, conspiracy to borrow money fraudulently from the public, forging and using forged documents, deceiving 11 victims by presenting false statements and concealing the truth. They solicited loans for investment in businesses including personal loan lending, asset trading, sports companies, investment funds, stock purchases, international restaurants, and stock market shares. They promised returns ranging from 4 to 7 percent per month or 40 percent of the invested loan amount, which exceeds all legal interest rates allowed by financial institutions under the law. As a result, the 11 victims lost over 100 million baht by transferring money into the defendants’ bank accounts.

The defendants were granted bail of one million baht each, and the court prohibited them from leaving the country.

Today, Nana and Way, the married couple, appeared in court as summoned, entering through a side entrance to avoid reporters.

The court read and explained the charges to both defendants until they understood, then asked if they would plead guilty or deny the charges. Both Nana and Way declared they deny the charges and will contest the case.

The court scheduled a review of the evidence from both sides on 25 May at 09:00.
