Meanwhile, the police are preparing to summon more individuals for questioning.,
On 27 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported progress in the case where Mr. Samrit Rimthuan, known as Suea Dusit, along with two others, allegedly assaulted Mr. Thanapon Wekawakyannon, 55, breaking 12 ribs and causing severe injuries. He was deeply stressed, remorseful, and apologized with a bowed head, admitting guilt. He claimed the victim did grope his girlfriend but denied challenging the Nonthaburi police. After the incident, he experienced loss of appetite and insomnia; his family broke apart, leading to a separation from his wife of nine years. The police detained him for a reconstruction before sending him for court detention, which was later granted bail, avoiding jail time, as previously reported.
Recently, a young woman named "Mira," who works as an MC and is claimed by Suea Dusit to be his girlfriend, and who says she was groped by the victim, causing her to lose control, posted on Facebook stating: “That day, I happened to meet the victim by chance because we knew each other before, so we greeted each other normally. I did not go to tell Suea that he was groped; Suea came and saw the situation himself at that moment. However, I still do not clearly remember some details because I drank quite a bit that night. Therefore, I want the CCTV footage to be reviewed for fairness to all parties.”
Mira apologized for the incident causing discomfort to many parties, including both sides affected by the situation. She expressed apologies to the victim (Khun Kung), the victim’s family, Suea’s family, and to Suea himself.”
Then at 12:00 on 27 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters inquired about case progress. Pol. Col. Prut Jamroonsat, Superintendent of Rattanathibet Police Station, said he assigned Pol. Col. Pakin Pongkanjana, Investigation Superintendent, to supervise the case and guide investigators to summon all those present at the scene for questioning, including Ms. Mira, Suea Dusit’s girlfriend, to clarify the situation.
