
Police have filed charges and the Excise Department has imposed a 20,000 baht fine on a popular restaurant in Nonthaburi following an incident where 'Suea Dusit' and his associates brutally assaulted a man, leaving him in a coma.
At 18:30 on 27 Feb 2026, Pol. Col. Chokchai Khana Charoen, Deputy Commander of Nonthaburi Provincial Police, and Pol. Col. Prutthat Chamroensat, Chief of Rattanathibet Police Station, Nonthaburi, summoned the owner and manager of a well-known restaurant for charges of operating an establishment without a license. It was found that the restaurant had illegally sold alcohol beyond the legally permitted hours following an incident where Mr. Samrit Rimthuan, known as 'Suea Dusit,' and two others assaulted Mr. Thanapon Wekawakyannon, causing serious injuries.
Initially, both the owner and manager admitted to secretly operating the establishment and selling alcohol past legal hours. Additionally, the local Excise Department branch in Nonthaburi fined the restaurant 20,000 baht for failing to register the venue as required by regulations within 30 days.
Pol. Col. Chokchai Khana Charoen, Deputy Commander of Nonthaburi Provincial Police, stated that today the police summoned the restaurant manager to inform him of charges for failing to register with the Excise Department within 30 days. A 20,000 baht fine has been imposed. Furthermore, on 28 Feb, the manager will be taken to Nonthaburi Provincial Court to face charges for operating an establishment without a license. Investigation confirmed that at the time of the incident, the restaurant was open beyond permitted hours, had live music, PR staff welcoming customers, and alcohol consumption inside.
Today, police also questioned both the manager and owner. During questioning, the owner provided useful information for the case and admitted to the violations. Consequently, police will proceed with legal actions accordingly.
