Deputy National Police Chief Tightens Security at Embassies of Rival Nations “USA-Israel-Iran” to Prevent Unexpected Incidents

Deputy National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Samran Nuanma has ordered all units to strictly secure the embassies of the USA, Israel, and Iran in Thailand to prevent unexpected incidents involving these rival parties, while also monitoring to prevent any collusion to create unrest.

On 2 March 2026 at the Metropolitan Police Headquarters, Deputy National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Samran Nuanma spoke about measures to safeguard important sites and foreign nationals in Thailand from conflicting groups affected by the Middle East fighting, where the USA and Israel launched the "operation epic fury" attack on Iran. The National Police Commander has instructed strict security measures for Middle Eastern nationals in Thailand, divided into four parts. The first is to verify and gather information on foreign nationals from the conflicting countries, identifying their locations, including both potential perpetrators and victims, with data available at the Immigration Office.

The second part focuses on locations where gatherings and activities occur, with the Peacekeeping Police, local police, Immigration Police, and Tourist Police responsible for conducting inspections.

The third part involves special surveillance in provinces known for frequent gatherings, as reported in the news.

The fourth part covers workplaces, where Peacekeeping Police and Metropolitan Police will monitor and maintain security.

Regarding embassy security of the conflicting countries and those affected by the recent fighting, there have been no requests from embassy representatives for additional security personnel. However, the Deputy Chief has ordered Metropolitan Police to increase security measures especially for the three main countries: the USA, Israel, and Iran.

Additionally, there is surveillance to prevent any collusion or staging of unrest related to political conflicts and the insurgency in the three southern border provinces, which might attempt to exploit the current situation.

Concerning policy on extending the stay of Middle Eastern tourists in Thailand who cannot return home due to ongoing conflict, no reports have yet been received. If returning home truly becomes impossible, the matter will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
