The Criminal Court approved arrest warrants for the 'mastermind boss and a close woman' in the case of the abduction and murder of a young manager in the bathroom of an abandoned house in Chai Badan District, Lopburi Province.
Regarding the case of a group of criminals abducting and killing Mr. Ruth or "Top" aged 46, a sales manager at a medical equipment import and distribution company in the Sutthisan area. His mother reported him missing at Sutthisan Police Station after losing contact. CCTV footage at the shrimp pond parking lot in Soi Ratchada 18 showed clearly at 06:24 on 18 Feb 2026 that Mr. Ruth was abducted from the shrimp pond and taken toward Samut Prakan Province. Later, on 3 March, investigators found Mr. Ruth's burned body, reduced to skeletal remains, inside the bathroom of an abandoned house in Rai Baikan, Chai Badan District, Lopburi Province.
Most recently, at 21:00 on 5 March 2026, Police Colonel Pornthep Chalermkiat, Superintendent of Sutthisan Police Station, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Athipong Sripho, Investigation Officer at Sutthisan Police Station, after receiving DNA results confirming the burned body found in Lopburi Province was Mr. Ruth, combined with previous arrests and surrenders totaling seven suspects,
Meanwhile, Second Lieutenant Phumeth or Art, aged 48, Chairman of the Bangkok Security Network, Phra Khanong District (Chor Sor Thor, Bangkok, Phra Khanong District), and a committee member of the Reserve Force Relations and Training Center (Sor Kor Sor), who was the abduction executor, fled and is believed to have gone to Laos. Officials interrogated related parties and gathered evidence linking the mastermind boss, the abduction contractor, and a close woman of the boss, who hired a private investigator to follow the victim. This evidence was submitted to the Criminal Court to request arrest warrants.
The court approved arrest warrants for the two suspects on charges including premeditated murder, unlawful detention or confinement, coercion to compel or prevent actions or submission through threats to life, body, liberty, reputation, or property, use of violence causing compliance, conspiracy involving five or more persons, robbery, and secretly burying, hiding, moving, dismantling, or destroying a corpse or parts thereof to conceal death or its cause.
Investigators are currently monitoring the residence of the mastermind boss and the close woman at a prominent lawyer's house in Wang Thonglang. If the court approves the arrest warrants, authorities will immediately apprehend the key suspects in this abduction and murder case.
