Police have arrested the "boss and his female confidant" suspected of hiring a gang to kidnap and kill a young manager in the bathroom of an abandoned house in Chai Badan District, Lopburi Province. They have been taken into custody for legal proceedings at Sutthisan Police Station.
Following the case where the Criminal Court approved arrest warrants for Mr. Sawee and Ms. Benyapha, the two key suspects in hiring a gang to kidnap and kill Mr. Ruth, also known as Top, aged 46, a sales manager at a medical equipment import and distribution company in the Sutthisan area.. According to the Criminal Court arrest warrants numbered 1293 and 1294/2026, dated 5 Mar 2026, the charges include premeditated murder, unlawful detention or otherwise depriving someone of their physical freedom, coercion to compel or prevent actions, causing fear of harm to life, body, liberty, reputation, or property of the coerced person.or by use offorce or violence causing the coerced person to comply or refrain from acting, committed jointly by five or more persons.Robbery, and clandestine burial,concealment, relocation, destruction of a corpse or body parts to conceal death or the cause of death.
Most recently, at 23:00 on 5 Mar 2026, Pol. Maj. Gen. Chotiwat Luangwilai, Commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau Investigation Division, Pol. Maj. Gen. Kiattikul Sonthien, Commander of Police Region 2, Pol. Col. Athadee Sermsuk, Chief of Investigation Division, Region 2, and Pol. Col. Porntep Chalermkiat, Superintendent of Sutthisan Police Station, led the investigative team to arrest Mr. Sawee at a residence in Wang Thonglang and took him into custody at Sutthisan Police Station for legal proceedings.
Ms. Benyapha, the female confidant, was arrested later by authorities and was also taken for legal proceedings at Sutthisan Police Station.
