The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) raided a house belonging to Chonnaphat Naksua MP from Songkhla seeking additional evidence in an online gambling case and serving an outstanding arrest warrant related to an incident where a close associate allegedly assaulted a local resident causing injury.
It was reported that at 09:00 on 5 Mar 2026 GMT+7, officials from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) together with the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) conducted a search at the residence of Chonnaphat Naksua, Member of Parliament for Songkhla Province, District 4, from the Kla Tham Party, located in Village 5, Kradangnga Subdistrict, Sathing Phra District, Songkhla Province. The search aimed to gather additional evidence related to an old case involving complaints about online gambling. This followed AMLO’s resolution to petition the court to confiscate assets worth 159 million baht belonging to Chonnaphat and associates, related to the gambling case. After considering the request to revoke the seizure and freeze order, the court found the petition lacked sufficient grounds.
During the search, officials seized a branded handbag of unknown brand belonging to the wife of MP Krit, totaling one item. The search was conducted under warrants issued by the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) and an arrest warrant related to the older case in which a close subordinate of Chonnaphat allegedly assaulted a local resident, causing injury.
