Police Detain and Oppose Bail for Two Suspects in Managers Abduction-Murder Case Both Deny Charges

Police detained two suspects in the "abduction and murder of a young manager" case in Lopburi Province and sent them for detention at the Ratchada Criminal Court, opposing bail. Both continue to deny the charges. A search of a close female associate's home uncovered additional evidence.

Progress in the case of the gang that abducted Mr. Ruth Maneeprasert, known as Top, 46, a sales manager at a medical equipment and scientific supplies company in Suthisan area. His charred body was later found in Lopburi Province. Police have arrested nearly the entire gang of masterminds and accomplices, except for the person who directly carried out the abduction and murder.

Most recently, at 09:00 on 7 Mar 2026, at Suthisan Police Station, Police Colonel Porntep Chalermkiat, chief of Suthisan Police Station, ordered investigators and prevention and suppression officers to detain Mr. Sawee, the mastermind who commissioned the crime. He is wanted under Criminal Court arrest warrant No. 1293/2569 dated 5 Mar 2026, charged with ordering others to commit premeditated murder, coercion, conspiracy involving five or more people, unlawful detention, robbery causing death using a vehicle, and unlawfully damaging, moving, or destroying property., parts of the body, burying secretly, hiding, moving or destroying a corpse or parts of a corpse to conceal the cause or circumstances of death, organized crime, criminal syndicate.

Ms. Benyapa, 45, who arranged private investigators to follow the victim, is wanted under Criminal Court arrest warrant No. 1294/2569 dated 5 Mar 2026. She is charged with premeditated murder, coercion, conspiracy involving five or more people, unlawful detention, robbery causing death with use of a vehicle, and unlawfully damaging, moving, or destroying property., parts of the body, burying secretly, hiding, moving or destroying a corpse or parts of a corpse to conceal the cause or circumstances of death, organized crime, criminal syndicate.

Both key suspects were taken to the Ratchada Criminal Court for detention with bail opposed due to the gravity of the crime and severe penalties. Authorities fear they might flee or tamper with evidence.

While being escorted to the court vehicle, reporters attempted to question the suspects on various topics, including whether they wished to apologize to the victim's family, but both remained silent and declined to comment.

Police Colonel Porntep Chalermkiat, chief of Suthisan Police Station, stated that both suspects continue to deny the charges, consistent with previous statements to the media by superiors. Yesterday, investigators searched Ms. Benyapa's home in Nuanchan area and found additional evidence, but details have not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, in the late morning of the same day, Mr. Ruth's parents and relatives went to the Police Hospital's Institute of Forensic Medicine to collect his body, bringing documentation amid grief. Mr. Ruth Maneeprasert's body will be taken to pavilion 5 at Wat Thamchariyaphrom, Lak Sam Subdistrict, Ban Phaeo District, Samut Sakhon Province. Funeral rites will be held from 7 to 10 Mar 2026 at 19:00, with cremation scheduled for 11 Mar 2026 at 15:30.

Reports indicate that Mr. Ruth, the deceased, was scheduled to marry his bride today in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.,but was instead abducted by a criminal gang, killed, and his body burned to conceal the crime. His relatives had to receive the body and conduct religious ceremonies at the temple.
