The Phetkasem Police investigation unit arrested a man trafficking methamphetamine, carrying two pistols, and seized over a thousand meth pills. Background checks revealed he was wanted on a drug trafficking warrant from Samut Sakhon.
At 07:00 on 10 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Col. Pramot Chanboonkaew, Superintendent of Phetkasem Police Station, along with Pol. Lt. Col. Warongkorn Khajornboonyawat, Deputy Chief of the Investigation Unit, and Pol. Lt. Thawatchai Thipwong, Investigator, together with the Phetkasem investigation team, arrested Mr. Nopporn, also known as “K,” 40 years old.
Seized evidence included 7 bags of methamphetamine totaling 1,249 pills; two pistols (one homemade Thai-style and one modified blank gun); 30 rounds of .380 caliber ammunition; one digital scale; several drug packaging items; and one mobile phone.
He was charged with possession and distribution of a Category 1 narcotic (methamphetamine) with intent to sell illegally, possession of firearms and ammunition without a license, and illegal use of a Category 1 narcotic methamphetamine.
The arrest followed a tip from an informant that Mr. “K” was regularly selling and using drugs at house number 941/2, Phetkasem Soi 63, Lak Song Subdistrict, Bang Khae District, Bangkok. On the evening of 9 Mar, officers found Mr. K holding a white cloth bag in his left hand. Upon seeing police, he acted suspiciously and fled, hiding in a nearby bathroom. The officers apprehended him and found the contraband hidden inside the white bag.
Mr. Nopporn, or “K,” confessed that he purchased methamphetamine from a man named “Tum,” whose full name is unknown, approximately 40 years old, residing in Krathum Baen District, Samut Sakhon Province. He bought 200-pill bags at 1,800 baht each and resold them at 2,000 baht per bag. Transactions were made in cash at varying meeting locations.
Before formal processing, the suspect was sent for drug testing at Rajapipat Hospital, which returned positive. Criminal record checks revealed a warrant from the Samut Sakhon Provincial Court No. J.283/2568 dated 15 Aug 2025 GMT+7, charging him with conspiracy to possess and distribute Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine) for sale without permission, and conspiring with others to commit serious drug offenses.
The suspect and seized items were handed over to the Phetkasem Police investigative officers for prosecution under the law.
