The prisoner was brought to the hospital by correctional officers for treatment. His name is Jirawat Moolkarin, a detainee charged with theft, originally from Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai.
According to reports, early this morning, Chiang Mai Central Prison officers brought Jirawat Moolkarin to Nakornping Hospital for treatment. He took advantage of the moment to use a saw blade to cut off his handcuffs and escape.
