Chonburi – A 46-year-old man seeks justice after he tried to stop a quarrel but was instead assaulted by a man dressed as a naval pilot and his associates in front of a restaurant. He appeals for the relevant authorities to verify the facts.
On 11 March 2026, villagers reported to investigators at Plutaluang Police Station in Chonburi after being assaulted by two men outside a restaurant in Plutaluang Subdistrict, Sattahip District, Chonburi, at 00:15 on 10 March 2026. The victim intervened to stop a fight, noting that one assailant was dressed in what appeared to be a naval uniform from the waist up, causing concern about the offenders’ influence and prompting a request for official verification.
A reporter asked Mr. Jim Thap, 46, the victim, who said that before the incident, he had been dining at a restaurant in Plutaluang Subdistrict. After finishing his meal around midnight, as the restaurant was closing and he was preparing to leave, a group of men began arguing outside the restaurant.
With good intentions, he tried to intervene and stop the quarrel, but two men attacked him. One was dressed in what looked like a naval pilot’s flight suit from the waist up. He was injured before bystanders stepped in to stop the fight and calm the situation.
After the incident, Mr. Jim went to file a complaint at Plutaluang Police Station, asking the police to take legal action. He said he later learned the men were naval officers, which made him fearful since he is an ordinary civilian.
The victim urges the responsible authorities to investigate the case involving the wearing of official uniforms while drinking and engaging in a fight, to ensure justice for local residents.
