Over 10 Youths Assault Rivals Home in Nonthaburi, Firing Dozens of Shots and Throwing Explosives

In Nonthaburi, over 10 youths stormed a rival’s house, firing more than 20 shots and throwing explosives that caused loud explosions in the alley. Three people were injured after receiving threatening chat messages saying, "I'll come to your front door." The Sai Noi police investigative team is currently reviewing CCTV footage to track down the suspects.

On 11 March 2026, reporters learned that at 23:30 on 10 March 2026, Lieutenant Wuttikit Buanual, deputy investigator of Sai Noi Police Station, Nonthaburi Province, received a report of a shooting incident with three injured persons. The incident occurred at a village in Sai Noi Subdistrict, Sai Noi District, Nonthaburi. He and volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation rushed to the scene for investigation.

The scene was in front of a house in Soi 4, where three injured were found: Mr. Yikam Tanung, 22, shot through the abdomen to the hip inside the house; Mr. Kantanai Nimsomboon, 20, shot in the left knee, lying on the road in front of the house; and Mr. Udom Danjuntuek, 45, shot in the inner right leg. Explosive remnants and about seven unidentified shell casings were found on the road, along with a long sword and a damaged car. Rescue personnel had already taken two injured persons to Sai Noi Hospital.

Additionally, Mr. Aoi, one of the injured, had received a threatening message from a Facebook user named “Use Heart to Determine Life,” stating: “I’m tired of talking to a worthless person like you, only good with kids. At 22:00, I’ll come to your front door. You can’t ask your uncle for help this time.”

CCTV footage recorded at 23:03 showed six motorcycles used by the perpetrators, followed by one car, totaling over 10 suspects. They fired nearly 20 shots and threw explosives, creating loud noises. Some held weapons and shouted vulgar insults and challenges.

Mr. Surin Chuchuay, 50, a nearby resident, said he was watching TV at home when he heard gunfire. Looking out, he saw the suspects firing about 10 shots. Most arrived on motorcycles, though he could not identify the types, and a car was also present. He estimated more than five or six people took part, shooting and throwing explosives around 23:00. After hearing escalating noise, he realized it was not firecrackers. The attackers fled after about five minutes, and two people were injured.

Mr. Pathom Kannikar, 46, also known as Aoi, one of the injured, said two people were hurt: Phai, in his 30s, shot twice in the abdomen, and himself, struck with a wooden stick. During the incident, four or five older people were sitting on a stone bench in front of the house. The attackers had sent threatening messages earlier that evening, which he had as evidence. The conflict likely started the previous day at a Sai Noi Red Cross fair, where they saw a concert and had a dispute with rivals. After the event, a fight broke out outside, escalating into ongoing hostilities. On the day of the attack, threats were sent to his nephew, stating the attackers would come at 22:00. When they arrived, nearly 10 people arrived by pickup truck, car, and motorcycles, opening fire and throwing grenades. Two people at the house were injured—one in the knee, the other shot twice in the abdomen.

Mr. Udom Danjuntuek, 45, who was shot in the inner right leg, said he was walking on the road in front of the house when he was hit. The bullet passed through his leg and tore his pants. He currently feels numb in the leg but can still walk.

Initially, the police investigative team examined CCTV footage and followed routes to identify the suspects. They also summoned residents of the house for statements. It is believed the suspects are connected to the person who sent the threatening chat messages.
