Sister Collects Angkanas Body, Reveals Cause of Death Husband Clarifies CCTV Cover-Up Issue

Tragically, Angkana's sister came to collect her body after she died at home, revealing the cause of death. Meanwhile, the husband provided a clear explanation about the CCTV cameras being covered.

In the case where Ms. Angkana, aged 47, was found dead inside her residence, multiple bruises were observed on her body, especially severe bruising on her chest and right leg. The house had two CCTV cameras installed—one at the storefront and another inside the home. Both cameras were found covered with cloth tied over the lenses. Mr. Songkran, the deceased's partner, claimed the cameras were damaged, so he covered them. This incident occurred on the evening of 11 March.

On 12 March 2026, reporters visited the scene in Khlong Sam Subdistrict, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province, where the house operates as a motorcycle repair shop. The shop was open as usual. Mr. Songkran showed the bedroom where Angkana slept before her death; it was their shared private bedroom.

Mr. Songkran stated that he had informed Angkana's sister to take charge of collecting the body for funeral rites at Wat Koetkan Udom in Khlong Sam Subdistrict, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani. The funeral service is planned at Pavilion 4. He said he could not do much himself regarding the arrangements.

He confirmed he would continue running the motorcycle repair shop as usual. Regarding his feelings about his partner's passing, he viewed it as a natural part of life—that birth and death are inevitable. He said he is able to accept it, thinking that those left behind must continue to live and work, so he would carry on with his repair business.

Regarding the CCTV issue, he emphasized that nothing had been changed or tampered with regarding the homeowner's property. He continues his life and work normally and has never interfered with the home's CCTV cameras.

Meanwhile, at the Forensic Medicine Office of Thammasat University Hospital, Rangsit Center, Khlong Nueng Subdistrict, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani, Ms. Ratana, 48, Angkana's sister, arrived to collect the body with deep sorrow and made arrangements to take it for religious funeral rites.

Ms. Ratana said she came today to collect her sister's body for the funeral. The doctors informed them the cause of death was cirrhosis of the liver. The family had been well aware of this illness, as Angkana’s internal organs had deteriorated significantly. Although doctors warned her that drinking again could be life-threatening, she resumed drinking, which worsened her condition and ultimately led to her death.

Regarding the bruises on the body, she insisted these were typical for her sister’s recent physical condition, as even minor contact would cause bruising easily. They were not caused by any abuse.

For further details on the official autopsy results, the hospital will send documents to the police within 15 days. The family does not dispute the cause of death, understanding the illness well. Angkana had no dependents or children; only two siblings remain.

For the religious ceremony, the family plans to move the body to Wat Koetkan Udom in Khlong Sam, where the funeral home has kindly assisted with the arrangements. The wake will be held for one night, with cremation scheduled for the next day (13 March 2026), as relatives have other responsibilities to return to.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Phongnopon Rungroj, an investigator at Khlong Luang Police Station, said preliminary questioning of the deceased’s partner revealed she had cirrhosis and had been treated for about seven years. Five days prior, there was an argument involving friends and the partner drinking at the house, which led the deceased to shout and ask them to leave due to the noise.

Regarding the CCTV, they previously rented a house before moving here about two or three months ago. The homeowner had installed cameras, but the deceased was sensitive to heat and preferred to be nude inside the house. She feared the homeowner might see her, so the cameras were removed and covered with pants. Doctors indicated the bruises from falls likely were not fatal; it is believed she died from illness. However, authorities await detailed medical and forensic examination results.
