
Phetkasem Police showcased arrests in two cases: patrol officers detained a man speeding on a motorcycle carrying drugs who was wanted for online fraud, while detectives apprehended a drug-addicted man who stole motorcycles to sell in order to buy drugs.
On 17 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Police Colonel Pramot Janboonkaew, Superintendent of Phetkasem Police Station, along with Police Lieutenant Colonel Kamonlert Poolsukkho, Deputy Superintendent of the Crime Suppression Division, Police Lieutenant Colonel Supat Phonnongluang, Patrol Unit Chief, and Police Sub-Lieutenant Patcharwitch Worachitphakdhiphan, Deputy Patrol Unit Chief, led Phetkasem patrol officers to conduct area checks deep inside Phetkasem Soi 69, Lak Song Subdistrict, Bang Khae District, Bangkok. At around 23:00 on 16 Mar 2026 GMT+7, they stopped Mr. Worapon "Art" Thanaratthachai, 28, riding a blue-white Honda Dream motorcycle, license plate 4กบ790 Bangkok, for suspicious behavior. Upon searching, they found 0.18 grams of methamphetamine (ice) and 0.22 grams of ketamine hidden in his shoulder bag. A urine test showed a purple color, and further examination at Rajpipat Hospital confirmed the presence of narcotics in his system.
A criminal record check revealed an arrest warrant issued by the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Court, warrant number จ.1510/2568, on charges of online public fraud.
Mr. Worapon stated that the drugs came from a senior named Mr. Kai, whose full name is unknown, residing near the southern side of Phasi Charoen Canal in Nong Khaem District, and that he last used drugs two days prior.
He was charged with illegal possession of Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine) and Category 2 narcotics (ketamine), drug use, and driving a vehicle under the influence.
In another case, Police Colonel Pramot Janboonkaew, Superintendent of Phetkasem Police Station, Police Lieutenant Colonel Warongkorn Khajornboonyawat, Deputy Chief of Investigation, Police Lieutenant Colonel Thawatchai Thipwong, Investigation Officer, and Phetkasem detectives arrested Mr. Teerachai "Boy" Srithong, 46, seizing evidence including a red-black Honda Wave 125i motorcycle, license plate กธพ 668 Bangkok, and the clothing he wore on the day of the incident.
He was charged with nighttime theft and illegal use of Category 1 narcotics, specifically methamphetamine.
The arrest took place inside an abandoned building in Bang Khae Soi 16, Lak Song Subdistrict, Bang Khae District, Bangkok, at 10:30 on 16 Mar 2026 GMT+7.
The case stemmed from a theft on the night of 12 Mar 2026 GMT+7, when an unknown suspect stole the motorcycle in front of a repair shop at the entrance of Bang Khae Soi 16, Lak Song Subdistrict, Bang Khae District, Bangkok, before fleeing the scene.
Closed-circuit television footage captured the suspect during the theft, including the routes taken to commit the crime and escape. It was learned that the suspect hid inside an abandoned building in Bang Khae Soi 16, prompting police to conduct the arrest.
The suspect confessed to stealing the motorcycle to sell it and buy drugs. Police subsequently recovered the motorcycle hidden in Bang Khae Soi 9. A urine test at Rajpipat Hospital confirmed the presence of narcotics in his system.
Both suspects, along with the seized evidence, were handed over to investigators at Phetkasem Police Station for legal proceedings.
