Two Technicians Arrested for Stealing Mod Oi Influencers Safe She Denies Staging Incident and Plans Legal Action Against Disruptive Comments

Nakhon Ratchasima police have arrested two cunning technicians who stole the safe belonging to "Mod Oi," a famous influencer. She denies staging the incident for content creation and plans to gather evidence to sue disruptive commenters to protect her dignity and reputation.

On 19 Mar 2026 GMT+7, the Investigation Division of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Police, under the command of Police Major General Narongsak Promtha, Chief of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Police, announced the arrest of suspects involved in the theft of the safe belonging to Ms. Panray Khemmee, also known as "Mod Oi," a well-known influencer.

Deputy Superintendent Wichanont Bophimai, head of the investigation team, led the operation to detain two suspects: Mr. Panya, aka Bird, 29, from Huai Thalaeng District, and Mr. Phisit, aka Bas, 29, from Khong District, along with the seized items and tools used in the crime. The suspects were tracked down in just three days by reviewing CCTV footage around the crime scene and escape routes, combined with key information about converting stolen gold at a shop in Pak Chong District, which led to their arrest.

Police Major General Narongsak Promtha stated that upon receiving the complaint, he ordered the investigation teams from the Muang Police Station and Region 3 to promptly pursue the suspects. They examined CCTV footage before and after the incident and interviewed witnesses, clarifying the suspects’ modus operandi. Both suspects had technical skills: one was a condominium technician at the crime site, the other a construction worker skilled in metal cutting tools. They collaborated to commit the crime. After recovering the safe, it was found that the original code no longer opened it because its automatic safety lock engaged immediately upon tampering.

Ms. Panray, or Mod Oi, expressed her frustration, firmly confirming the incident is genuine, denying any staging or false claims to gain attention, as some critics suggested. She emphasized this is a criminal case punishable by imprisonment. She also denied any involvement with gambling websites or the social platform X (formerly Twitter), contrary to some allegations. She warned that she will collect evidence to pursue legal action against those posting harmful comments to protect her dignity, stressing she has always been sincere and never ill-intentioned. She described the incident as a costly life lesson and an unintended tip-off to the thieves.

She added that while she appreciates the police’s swift work tracing the discarded safe, she remains deeply concerned because the safe was smashed. Inside were valuables worth a lot, including 30 baht weight of gold bars, Luang Pho Ruay coins, and a pendant of Luang Pho Khun. The status of these items is still being verified.

“I suspected the condominium technicians from the start because normally when I clean the air conditioner, repair a room, or renovate, I always use the condo’s technicians and never hire outside cleaners. I admit I was initially suspicious and mistakenly blamed the condo’s chief technician, but I didn’t expect it to be this junior technician who acted, as I had rarely seen him before. I apologize to the chief technician for the misunderstanding and sincerely thank the Nakhon Ratchasima police,” Mod Oi said.
