On 3 April 2026, Colonel Ekwarit Chopchupol, deputy spokesperson for the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Front, stated that following the press conference by the leader of the Prachachat Party regarding the vehicle alleged to have been used in the shooting of Narathiwat MP Kamolsak Leewamo and its supposed connection to the Internal Security Operations Command in Narathiwat, the command wishes to inform that after the incident, all relevant agencies have closely coordinated their efforts, aggressively investigating and pursuing the offenders to the fullest extent, resulting in the initial detention of involved individuals. The command strictly adheres to equal, transparent, and non-discriminatory legal enforcement principles.
