
The Police Chief has issued an appointment order "Lt. Gen. Trairong Piwpan" as the new spokesperson of the Royal Thai Police to strengthen the organizational communications team, along with announcing five deputy spokespersons.
On 4 April 2026 GMT+7, Police General Kittirat Phanphet, the National Police Chief, issued an order appointing the spokesperson of the Royal Thai Police after Lt. Gen. Yingyos Thepjumnong, former Assistant Police Chief and former police spokesperson, joined the early retirement program. Lt. Gen. Trairong Piwpan, Deputy Inspector General and Deputy Police Spokesperson, was appointed as the spokesperson to ensure the overall public relations of the Royal Thai Police are accurate, fast, timely, and effective.
Additionally, the police spokesperson team includes five deputy spokespersons, consisting of
1. Lt. Gen. Chaipojan Suwanrak, Commander of the Personnel Office
2. Maj. Gen. Jaroonkiat Pangkaew, Deputy Commander of the Central Investigation Bureau
3. Maj. Gen. Teeradej Thammasuthi, Deputy Commander of the Metropolitan Police
4. Maj. Gen. Siriwat Deepo, Commander of the Technology Crime Suppression Division 1
5. Maj. Gen. Chaturaphat Piromkaew, Commander of the Foreign Affairs Division
The police spokesperson team will serve as a link between the police and the public, communicating on law enforcement, crime prevention and suppression, oversight and transparency, knowledge integration, social communication, and foreign affairs. They will also manage internal communications within the Royal Thai Police nationwide, emphasizing communication that is truthful, accurate, clear, transparent, swift, timely, and constructive. They aim to create communication channels accessible across all platforms to build public trust.
