Cyber Police Expand Probe on Gun Accessory Shop on Popular App, Raid 5 Locations, Arrest 2 Men for Illegal Firearms Possession

Cyber Police expanded their probe into a gun accessory shop on a popular app, raiding five locations and arresting two men for illegal firearms possession.

On 6 April 2026, Pol. Lt. Gen. Surapol Prembutr, Commander of the Cyber Crime Division, along with Pol. Lt. Gen. Naradet Thiprak, Commander assigned to the Royal Thai Police Office, assisting the Cyber Crime Division, ordered Pol. Maj. Gen. Siriwat Deepho, Commander of Cyber Crime Division 1, and Pol. Col. Veerkwin Sermsrinachai, Superintendent of Investigation Division 3, Cyber Crime Division 1, to lead forces with search warrants from the Min Buri Criminal Court to conduct simultaneous raids on targets related to illegal firearms storage and accumulation at five locations in Khlong Sam Wa and Nong Chok districts, Bangkok.

The raids uncovered offenses at two locations. The first was a residence in Soi Hathairat, Bang Chan subdistrict, Khlong Sam Wa district, Bangkok, where authorities arrested Mr. Arthit Piyapattarkul, 48, seizing one homemade rifle, two silencers, one 9mm pistol with six bullets, and two magazines.

The second location targeted was a residence in Village 6, Ku Fang Nuea subdistrict, Nong Chok district, Bangkok, where Mr. Nawapol Sawadkaew, 28, was arrested. Items seized included one air rifle, one BB gun, one telescopic sight, and 15 lead pellets.

This operation followed an investigation by Investigation Division 3, Cyber Crime Division 1, which detected illegal sales of firearm parts via a popular online marketplace under the shop name "goodluckairrow." The investigation led to the earlier arrest of a suspect selling illegal silencer parts in Mae Wong district, Nakhon Sawan province.

Further checks revealed over a thousand such parts had been sold. Authorities expanded the investigation to identify others involved, gathering evidence to obtain search warrants and arrest both suspects along with the seized items. Mr. Arthit faces charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition without registration and unauthorized import, production, or possession of military equipment under Section 15 of the Arms Control Act 1987.

Mr. Nawapol is charged with illegal possession of firearms and unauthorized possession of military equipment under Section 15 of the Arms Control Act 1987. Both remain in custody pending further legal action.
