Pol. Col. Sanong Sangmanee, Superintendent of Bang Sue Police Station, held a police rank promotion ceremony and the traditional water blessing ritual during the 2026 Songkran festival, with a lively atmosphere.
At 5:00 p.m. on 9 April 2026 GMT+7 at Bang Sue Police Station, Pol. Col. Sanong Sangmanee, Superintendent of Bang Sue Police Station, organized a police rank promotion ceremony and the traditional water blessing ritual for the 2026 Songkran festival. Attending were Pol. Lt. Manun Kumuang, Deputy Superintendent of Crime Suppression; Pol. Lt. Chaiwich Sutamlaowijit, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation; Pol. Lt. Theerayut Meecharoen, Deputy Superintendent of Traffic at Bang Sue Police Station; along with Mr. Saichon Jangsomya, Director of Phaya Thai District; Khun Thanakorn Wisetsinthop, Chairman of the Bang Sue Police Station Police Advisory Board; Khun Kanokporn Hettrakul, member of the Advisory Board; Khun Pojanart Prinphatpakorn, member of the Advisory Board; other board members; and police officers under Bang Sue Police Station.
Pol. Col. Sanong also honored his subordinates by promoting them and congratulated the officers who received higher ranks. Among them were three commissioned officers promoted to Acting Sub-Lieutenant and 25 non-commissioned officers promoted.
Additionally, the Superintendent of Bang Sue Police Station performed the ritual of changing the robes and pouring water over the Buddha image known as Phra Buddha Phithak Santirat, the station's revered figure, to bring good fortune. A meal was served to police officers and guests attending the event. After the water blessing ceremony and receiving elders’ blessings, the Superintendent and police officers joyfully participated in Songkran water celebrations together.
