
Police raided and arrested 19 Chinese nationals at a residence inSai Mai district.They had established an online gambling website base there and seized work equipment includinglaptopsand numerous mobile phones.
At 11:00 hrs on 17 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Witawat Chinkham, Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 5, along with Pol. Col. Phopthorn Jitmun and Pol. Col. Pumiyot Lekklah, Deputy Commanders, ordered Pol. Col. Ritweer Sukcharoen, Chief of the Investigation Division, Metropolitan Police Division 5, with Pol. Lt. Col. Patcharachai Panadis, Pol. Lt. Col. Manoch Thongkaew, and Pol. Lt. Col. Atichat Yampaka, Deputy Chiefs, to lead officers from the Investigation Unit of Division 5, Kan Narai Police Station, and the Immigration Bureau's Investigation Unit to search a house in Or Ngoen Subdistrict, Sai Mai District, Bangkok, under a search warrant issued by Min Buri Criminal Court No. K.172/2569 dated 16 Apr 2026 GMT+7.
They arrested 19 Chinese men aged 26 to 45 on charges of gang involvement and operating online gambling, seizing 102 mobile phones,2 iPads,8 laptops, 8 desktop computers, and 8 CPUs as evidence.
The arrest team had learned that the house was being used for illegal online gambling activities, leading the court to issue the search warrant. Upon inspection, all 19 suspects were found conducting online gambling operations using a large number of computers and communication devices, primarily computers and mobile phones.
During interrogation, 33-year-old Mr. Shao S. admitted to running the online gambling website through an application called"Sheng Entertainment."The service targeted Chinese customers who registered, transferred money, and exchanged credits to gamble.
The entire group of suspects and seized items were then handed over to investigators at Kan Narai Police Station for detailed questioning andlegal proceedings.Prosecution will continue in accordance with the law.
