
The acting Nakhon Si Thammarat police chief signed an order suspending a sergeant from Chalermprakiet Police Station pending the results of a disciplinary investigation after Pak Phanang police raided his residence and seized 89 methamphetamine tablets as evidence.
On 23 April 2026, Pol. Maj. Gen. Pornchai Khajornklin, deputy commander of Region 8 Police and acting provincial police chief of Nakhon Si Thammarat, issued Order No. 440/2569 dated 22 April 2026 appointing an investigation committee regarding Sergeant Kittisak Srithong, also known as “Sergeant Oh,” 39, a patrol officer at Chalermprakiet Police Station, Nakhon Si Thammarat. He was arrested and accused of serious disciplinary violations involving drugs and firearms. Additionally, Order No. 441/2569 dated 22 April 2026 was issued to suspend the police officer from duty.
Furthermore, Order No. 467/2569 dated 23 April 2026 appointed a fact-finding investigation committee, instructing the chairperson to report quickly to proceed according to relevant regulations and laws.
This case began at 08:10 on 22 April when Pak Phanang police received a tip-off from a confidential informant that Sergeant Oh, Kittisak Srithong, 39, a patrol officer at Chalermprakiet Police Station residing in Village No. 2, East Pak Phanang Subdistrict, Pak Phanang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, was involved in drug dealing and frequently held drug-related gatherings at his home. Authorities were requested to investigate and arrest him.
After receiving the information, the officers reported to their superiors and immediately went to inspect the house. Upon arrival, they called for occupants to come out. Sergeant Oh, Kittisak Srithong, a police officer from Chalermprakiet Police Station, came out and stood in front of the house.
During preliminary questioning, Sergeant Oh admitted to having previously used methamphetamine. Police then requested to search his white Honda City parked in the carport in front of the house.
The search of the vehicle uncovered 1 methamphetamine tablet, a firearm, and ammunition. Sergeant Oh, or Mr. Kittisak Srithong, admitted that all seized items belonged to him.
Officers then asked Sergeant Oh whether he had a license and permission to possess and carry a 9mm semi-automatic pistol and 47 rounds of 9mm ammunition found.
Sergeant Oh stated that he had legal authorization to possess and carry the 9mm firearm. However, he admitted he had no license for one shotgun shell found. The authorities subsequently seized all the items as evidence.
Additionally, Sergeant Oh admitted to hiding more drugs inside the house. Then, Pol. Lt. Col. Olan Chaisaman, deputy investigation chief of Pak Phanang Police Station and Narcotics Control Officer, exercised his authority to search the residence, discovering 89 more methamphetamine tablets. The police took him into custody for prosecution at Pak Phanang Police Station. Most recently, the acting Nakhon Si Thammarat police chief ordered his suspension and set up a fact-finding investigation committee.
