Ms. Chutikarn (surname withheld), 17, a Grade 11 student at a secondary school in Bang Khun Thian, reported to Police Sub-Lieutenant Phanu Khamndee, Deputy Investigation Officer at Nong Khaem Police Station, that on 23 Apr 2026 at about 00:59, after finishing her part-time job at a mall and having eaten, she ordered a ride via an app. A rider picked her up on Rama 2 Road, Soi 100, to take her to the destination. During the ride, the driver asked personal questions unrelated to the service and refused to stop at the requested location. His behavior appeared potentially dangerous. The suspect, Mr. Tin, claimed he used his father's ID registered with the app to accept rides. Before the incident, he drank kratom tea and smoked marijuana, causing him to be intoxicated and speak emotionally. He said he could not remember the customer's destination. He was sent for a medical examination at Ratchaphiphat Hospital, awaiting drug test results, before being handed over to Nong Khaem police for legal proceedings.
