Couple Arrested as Drug Agents with 250,000 Methamphetamine Pills Seized Paid 20,000 Baht Per Delivery

The Nonthaburi Provincial Police Chief announced the arrest of a husband and wife drug trafficking duo, seizing 250,000 methamphetamine pills along with ketamine and ecstasy. They confessed to receiving 20,000 baht per delivery and had been operating for over two months.

At the Nonthaburi Provincial Police Headquarters, Pol. Maj. Gen. Detrapee Kongdee, Chief of Nonthaburi Provincial Police, along with Deputy Chief Piyawut Kaewmanee, Pol. Col. Supachai Srisak, Chief of the Nonthaburi Provincial Police Special Investigation Division, and Pol. Lt. Col. Amnat Ratchasi, Deputy Chief of the same division, held a press conference on the arrest of Boonyarit Sitongon, 23, and Narumon Praelee, 24, both from Nonthaburi. The couple was caught with 250,000 methamphetamine pills, 1,950 grams of ketamine, 2,050 ecstasy pills, one firearm with ammunition, and a black Honda City car. They were charged with jointly selling Category 1 illegal drugs (methamphetamine and ecstasy) and Category 2 psychoactive substances (ketamine) with intent to distribute. The arrest occurred on the roadside under the Ngam Wong Wan expressway in Bang Khen Subdistrict, Mueang Nonthaburi District.




Pol. Maj. Gen. Detrapee Kongdee stated that Nonthaburi police investigators learned of a planned drug delivery under the Ngam Wong Wan expressway. Officers set up a stakeout and at the appointed time, a black Honda City sedan arrived. Police intercepted the vehicle, finding Boonyarit driving with Narumon as passenger; they are husband and wife. A search of the car uncovered 1,000 grams of ketamine and 200,000 methamphetamine pills. Further searches at their condominium in Soi Chaeng Watthana 17, Pak Kret Subdistrict, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi, yielded 50,000 methamphetamine pills, 950 grams of ketamine, 2,050 ecstasy pills, one homemade .38 caliber pistol, and five rounds of ammunition.




During interrogation, the couple confessed they had been hired to pick up drugs from various locations as directed by the drug owners to deliver to customers. They earned 20,000 baht per delivery and had been doing so for more than two months.

After questioning, the suspects and seized items were handed over to investigators at Rattanathibet Police Station in Nonthaburi for legal proceedings.
