The former village headman, brother of a Bhumjaithai Party MP in Nakhon Si Thammarat, narrowly escaped after someone attacked his home with gunfire but the gun did not discharge. It is believed the Luang Pu Thuat 2505 amulet provided protection. The shooter later drove himself to surrender at the police station.
On 9 May 2026, reports revealed CCTV footage from 18:30 on 8 May 2026 at the home of Mr. Phurachai Pimsen, age 65, brother of Ms. Auayporn Sri Chaowalit, Bhumjaithai MP for Nakhon Si Thammarat’s 8th district. Mr. Phurachai, also known as "Village Headman Koo," is a former village headman of Village 3, Tha Khun Subdistrict, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The footage showed a male suspect driving a black sedan stopping in front of the house.
The man then got out of the car, drew a gun, and ran toward Mr. Phurachai, who was sitting with relatives beside the house. However, the gun did not fire, causing a commotion among the relatives, who scattered toward the back of the house. After the gun failed to discharge, the assailant returned to his car and drove away.
Later, Tha Sala Police Station in Nakhon Si Thammarat reported that the suspect drove the sedan to the police station, then went inside to surrender to the officers, admitting he had just shot at Village Headman Koo. He said he discarded the gun in a canal on the way to the station, surprising the police. The suspect was later identified as Mr. Sakorn, age 41.
Shortly after, Village Headman Koo and relatives who witnessed the event went to Tha Sala Police Station to file a report, still shocked by the incident. Relatives said they did not know the motive behind Mr. Sakorn’s attack but noted that earlier that evening, Mr. Sakorn had fired the same gun at his own house. They also knew he had a history of psychiatric illness. The sudden attack involved him driving up, parking, and shooting. Fortunately, the gun did not fire; otherwise, there could have been casualties as several people were present. The narrow escape is believed to be due to the protective power of the Luang Pu Thuat 2505 amulet worn by Village Headman Koo.
