Raid on Illicit Pod Vape Factory Hidden in Luxury Home in Bang Lamung, Chonburi Reveals Production Equipment and Chemicals

Police raided a Chinese-operated pod vape factory inside a luxury home in Bang Lamung, Chonburi, discovering production equipment and a large quantity of chemicals. Three Chinese men were detained for questioning to expand the investigation. Local residents were shocked as the house had remained dark and quiet for a long time.

At 16:30 on 11 May 2026, officers from the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) collaborated with Chonburi provincial police to inspect a luxury house in Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. They acted on information that a group of Chinese nationals were illegally manufacturing pod vape cartridges inside.

Initial checks revealed the house to be a two-story detached residence on about 100 square wah of land, surrounded by a two-meter-high concrete wall topped with electric wire to prevent theft. Upon entering, police found the house had been converted into a pod vape production factory. The second floor was partitioned into a lab room containing production equipment, chemicals, and numerous pod vape cartridges. Several chemical containers were also found inside. Authorities are coordinating with the forensic police division 2 for further analysis. Additionally, three Chinese men were detained for investigation.

Reporters spoke with local residents who were alarmed when they saw a large police presence. They said they thought the house was unoccupied because it remained dark at all times and they never saw anyone entering or leaving. Some assumed a violent incident had occurred when police arrived. Learning that the house was being used as an illegal drug production site shocked them greatly.

The reporter noted that the production equipment and chemicals found inside the house matched those seized by Bang Lamung police in mid-February 2026 at a residence in Nong Pla Lai area. Police are currently investigating whether the two locations are connected within the same criminal network.
