
Pol. Col. Wasurat Chaitheerapat, Deputy Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police, has directed Bang Lamung police to tightly monitor and escort the Chinese man admitted to the hospital. If his condition fails to improve, he is to be transferred to the provincial hospital, where the Chonburi Provincial Police special operations unit will take over supervision.
At 19:30 on 11 May 2026, officials from Pattaya Special Prison in Nong Plalai Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, urgently transported 31-year-old Chinese suspect Ming Chen Sun, arrested for possession of C-4 explosives and numerous weapons, to Pattaya Pattamakun Hospital after he experienced seizures while undergoing prisoner screening at the prison.
Initially, outside Pattaya Pattamakun Hospital (Bang Lamung Hospital), over 10 Bang Lamung police officers were present to secure the area. According to inquiries, Ming Chen Sun, 31, experienced severe seizures and physical weakness. It was learned that after his arrest, he refused food for three days and was entering the fourth day, consuming only water and suffering from stress, which caused his symptoms.
Regarding treatment, the medical team administered intravenous fluids and medication to relax the suspect. They will monitor his condition closely for at least 24 hours.
In the latest development, Pol. Col. Wasurat Chaitheerapat rushed to Pattaya Pattamakun Hospital to provide directives to Bang Lamung police, instructing them to rotate shifts to closely monitor and secure the suspect during his hospital stay until his condition improves and until he can be returned to prison.
Additionally, medical reports indicate that if the suspect’s condition does not improve, he will be transferred to the provincial hospital, Chonburi Hospital. The police will assign the Chonburi Provincial Police special operations unit to take over custody and supervision of the suspect.
