In the middle of the night, "Village Headman Jiew" shot the owner of a pig slaughterhouse dead inside his luxury car with a red license plate outside a nightclub in Nakhon Pathom. He then waited to surrender to the authorities. Police suspect jealousy as the motive and are urgently investigating the cause.
On 12 May 2026 at 02:10, police at Nakhon Pathom Police Station received a report of a shooting in front of a nightclub in Sanam Chan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Pathom Province. Police Colonel Achirawat Thawornreunwat, Chief of Nakhon Pathom Police Station, Lieutenant Kittipat Wilailaktrakul, the investigating officer, forensic officials, and seven patrol officers arrived at the scene along with members of the Suksala Rescue Foundation.
At the scene, they found the body of Mr. Udompong Senbua, 54, owner of a pig slaughterhouse in Map Khae Subdistrict, shot once in the right side of his head. Officers performed CPR before transporting him to the hospital, but he later died.
The suspect was identified as Mr. Komsak Kaewsang, also known as "Village Headman Jiew," the village headman of Don Yai Hom Subdistrict. He stood waiting to give a statement to police. When police took him into custody, reporters attempted to ask about the motive, but he remained expressionless, briefly looked at them, and said nothing before being taken away.
Preliminary inquiries with witnesses near the scene revealed that both parties had a verbal argument inside the nightclub. Afterwards, the establishment asked both sides to step outside to settle the dispute as closing time approached. The two continued arguing, and the suspect used a firearm to shoot the victim, who was sitting inside a BMW car. After the shooting, the suspect waited to give a statement to police before being taken to Mueang Nakhon Pathom Police Station.
An inspection inside the victim's car found several .38 caliber pistols on the floor and a bullet hole on the front windshield. An 11mm bullet casing was found approximately two meters in front of the victim’s car. Forensic officers collected these as evidence.
Police Major General Pitak Uppong, Commander of Nakhon Pathom Provincial Police, who came to investigate personally, revealed that during questioning, Mr. Komsak admitted to the shooting. He explained that the victim had five wives. On the day of the incident, he had brought the victim’s former fifth wife, from whom the victim had been divorced for about one year, to a restaurant to eat and listen to music, not expecting to encounter the victim. The victim allegedly made several provocative remarks toward the ex-wife, causing Mr. Komsak to invite her to leave. He then went to his car to retrieve a gun, at which point the victim appeared and Mr. Komsak fired in anger, seriously wounding him. Bystanders then attempted CPR and the victim was taken to the hospital but later died.
Authorities initially suspect jealousy as the cause and will conduct detailed interviews with those involved. The police have charged the suspect with intentional homicide and illegal possession of a firearm in a town and village, and will proceed with legal action.
