Sergeant Admits Using Ice, Assaults Nurse Aide, Shares Private Photos in Line Group

The Deputy Commander of Chaiyaphum Provincial Police disclosed that a sergeant assaulted his ex-girlfriend, who is a nurse aide, and released private photos into a Line group. The sergeant admitted to using ice (methamphetamine). Authorities are preparing to expand the investigation and stressed they will not protect wrongdoers.

On 11 May 2026, Miss Nueng (a pseudonym), a 28-year-old nurse aide from Nakhon Ratchasima, filed a complaint with Mrs. Paweena Hongsakul, Chairperson of the Paweena Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women. She reported being assaulted by Sergeant Man (a pseudonym), 30, a police officer in the Nakhon Ratchasima Security Division, whom she met on a dating app and had dated for five months. He reportedly used drugs, experienced drug-induced hallucinations, and violently assaulted her nearly to the point of death. He also shared private photos, causing her great shame and forcing her to resign from her job. The victim filed a police report at the Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima Police Station to pursue the case fully, as previously reported.

Update on 12 May 2026: Pol. Col. Sirichai Srichaipanya, Superintendent of Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima Police Station, revealed that on 4 May 2026 at about 8:00 p.m., the victim filed a complaint for assault and related charges, including unlawful detention. The investigating officers recorded the complaint and sent the victim for a medical examination and physician consultation at Maharaj Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital.

Initially, investigators questioned the victim to some extent, but she was not yet ready to give detailed testimony and was advised to rest. Meanwhile, authorities are gathering evidence and coordinating with relevant agencies to proceed according to legal procedures.

Regarding rumors that the accused had surrendered, Pol. Col. Sirichai clarified that the suspect only presented himself but has not yet been formally charged. Further questioning of the victim and complete evidence collection are pending before charges can be filed.

Concerning the suspect’s status as a police officer, the Superintendent of Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima Police Station said they have contacted his department following the complaint. The department is investigating the facts, and if wrongdoing is confirmed, disciplinary action will follow. The police station will update the superiors accordingly. So far, no suspension order has been issued, as the investigation is ongoing, although the suspect’s unit has issued an internal directive.

For allegations of assault, forced drug use, and distribution of obscene images, police are still collecting further evidence and have yet to conclude the facts. Regarding victim protection amid her fear, police acknowledged the issue and are ready to provide immediate protection upon request. They have coordinated with the suspect’s department to prevent interference with evidence or the victim.

Pol. Col. Sirichai reaffirmed that police work follows rules and laws; anyone who commits wrongdoing will receive no assistance or leniency. Authorities will pursue all allegations through the justice system to the fullest extent.

At 1:30 p.m., Mrs. Paweena Hongsakul, Chairperson of the Paweena Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women, with her team, met with Pol. Col. Kachon Setaputta, Deputy Commander of Chaiyaphum Provincial Police assisting Nakhon Ratchasima Police, and Pol. Col. Sirichai Srichaipanya, Superintendent of Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima Police Station, to follow up on the case and conduct additional questioning amid strong public interest in the prosecution of state officials.

Mrs. Paweena stated that the victim remains afraid to return to the area due to trauma from the incident. The foundation is coordinating with relevant agencies to provide full assistance. Previously, they contacted Pol. Maj. Gen. Narongsak Promtha, Commander of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Police, who, despite attending a meeting in Bangkok, assigned Pol. Col. Kachon and Pol. Col. Sirichai to take charge and closely follow the case.

The foundation chairperson added that further questioning of the victim and a thorough medical examination will be conducted to collect evidence. Meanwhile, Pol. Maj. Gen. Surapong Thanomjit, Commander of Security Division 1, has instructed his unit commanders to engage closely with the case. Last night, officers promptly conducted drug tests on involved parties without delay.

Mrs. Paweena also noted that a fact-finding committee has been established, with multiple agencies expediting procedures. She reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to fully support the victim and ensure justice is served through legal processes.

Pol. Col. Kachon Setaputta, Deputy Commander of Chaiyaphum Provincial Police assisting Nakhon Ratchasima Police, expressed that the allegation of a police officer assaulting his girlfriend is distressing, as violence against women is unacceptable. He vowed to handle the case straightforwardly and ensure the victim receives full justice.

Pol. Col. Kachon said the case involves multiple charges. Last night, he spoke with the accused and coordinated with family and related parties. The suspect remains under health agency care. Initial tests revealed methamphetamine use, which the suspect admitted. As the officer responsible for drug matters, he will pursue a detailed investigation.

The deputy commander emphasized that any police officer involved with drugs should not remain in the force, as it contradicts the spirit of protecting public peace. He assured the victim that Nakhon Ratchasima police are fully prepared to support and assist her, encouraging her to contact authorities immediately if she feels uneasy.

Pol. Col. Kachon added that based on the victim’s account, the psychological wounds are severe and hard to heal. Regarding legal procedures, the station chief and investigators are following proper steps. After the victim filed the complaint, she was immediately sent for a medical examination to document injuries. He confirmed there will be no leniency because the suspect is a police officer, and all actions will be transparent and lawful.
