A 28-year-old woman, angry at her husband and suspecting him of stealing condoms to use with others, argued with him all night until dawn before grabbing a knife and stabbing him in the chest, causing serious injury. She claimed she did not intend to stab deeply because she loves him with all her heart.
Yesterday (11 May 2026), Police Sub-Lieutenant Thawat Kaewphat, deputy patrol supervisor of Na Kha police station, was informed of an incident where a wife stabbed her husband causing injury. The incident occurred at a house in Na Kha Subdistrict, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province. Police, along with rescue workers from Na Kha municipality and Udon Thani Hospital, went to investigate.
At the scene, in front of the house, Mr. Tawisak, 39, the homeowner, was found stabbed in the right chest with a knife. He was half-sitting, half-lying down, supported by relatives. Rescue workers administered first aid and found the stab wound was about 3 inches deep before taking him to Udon Thani Hospital.
The suspect, Miss Rojana, 28, the injured man's wife, was found hiding inside the house after the incident. Police entered and took her into custody along with the evidence: a pointed kitchen knife about one foot long with blood stains. She was taken to the police station for legal proceedings.
Today (12 May 2026), reporters visited the house and found relatives of Mr. Tawisak gathered discussing the incident. Mrs. Aemorn, Mr. Tawisak’s aunt, said the injured man had been dating Miss Rojana for about a year. The woman often came and went and did not live there permanently. On the day of the incident, she was at her house opposite his and heard cries for help. Then Mr. Tawisak ran over and collapsed at her house’s front with blood flowing from his right chest. She immediately called rescue services to take him to the hospital. Miss Rojana was standing inside the house holding the knife until police arrived and arrested her.
Mrs. Aemorn also said Miss Rojana was unemployed and a habitual drug user. She expressed anger that the woman had harmed her nephew and caused his injury.
Meanwhile, Miss Rojana’s mother said her daughter has been using methamphetamine since she was 12 or 13 years old. She has been dating the injured man for about one year. The man had asked to save money to propose marriage. Upon learning of the incident, she was shocked. That morning she visited her daughter at the police station and asked why she stabbed her husband, but her daughter did not answer. She said she would not seek bail for her daughter so that she could undergo rehabilitation, hoping to help her quit drugs.
Reporters then went to Na Kha police station, where Miss Rojana claimed she had been dating the injured man for over a year. She said the argument started because she had taken condoms from her husband’s wardrobe and hidden them under a pillow, which angered him. He feared she would use them with others. They argued all night without sleeping until dawn. Before the incident, she asked her husband for money to buy methamphetamine, but he bought her 20 baht worth of white liquor instead. He then left for a monk ordination ceremony but refused to open the door for her. In anger, she screamed and grabbed a knife, stabbing him until he fell. She said she did not intend to stab deeply because she loves him with all her heart.
A background check found Miss Rojana had failed to report to the Udon Thani provincial court on a drug case and had an outstanding arrest warrant. Drug tests showed a purple urine sample. Regarding the stabbing of Mr. Tawisak, who was seriously injured, police charged her with illegal possession and use of Category 1 drugs (methamphetamine) and assault causing bodily and mental harm, proceeding with legal action.
