A 48-year-old woman went to exercise at the jogging area in front of Chachoengsao provincial hall when two teenage boys pulled her shirt over her face before assaulting her. They struck her face with a durian, causing it to be covered in blood. She was confused as she had never had any trouble with anyone before.
On 18 May 2026, reporters received a complaint from Ms. Noi (a pseudonym), age 48, who said she was assaulted by two teenage boys at the jogging area in front of Chachoengsao provincial hall. The incident occurred in the evening of 17 May. She presented a medical certificate and police report as evidence.
Initial findings showed redness on the left side of her face and shoulder, resembling bruises from a blunt object, along with multiple scratch marks.
The victim revealed the incident happened around 9:00 p.m. on 17 May while she was exercising with her husband at the jogging area in front of Chachoengsao provincial hall. She had only been exercising there for about a week. At the time, her husband ran ahead, and she could not keep up, so she walked around the jogging area instead. When she reached the motorcycle parking beside the exercise area, she saw a man in a white shirt staring at her. Then another man approached from behind, pulling up her exercise tank top over her head, exposing her back and bra. He then struck the left side of her face multiple times with durian peel he had prepared. Meanwhile, the man in the white shirt also joined in, punching and kicking her repeatedly until she fell. Fortunately, bystanders saw what was happening and shouted to stop them, causing both assailants to flee quickly on a motorcycle, leaving the durian peel behind at the scene.
Ms. Noi said she still does not know why she was attacked. She is unsure if it was a misunderstanding, a personal dispute, mistaken identity, or an attempted robbery, as she has never had problems or arguments with anyone before. The attackers said nothing during the assault. Afterward, she filed a police report at the Mueang Chachoengsao Police Station to have the perpetrators prosecuted. She wants to know the real reason why these two men attacked her, as she is simply a woman exercising as usual.
