Police Seize 8.9 Million Methamphetamine Pills Hidden in Pathum Thani House Delivered by Covered Pickup from Saraburi

Region 1 police seized a large shipment of 8.9 million methamphetamine pills after receiving a tip from an informant about drugs being transported from Saraburi province to be stored at a house in Pathum Thani province. Four suspects were arrested, and one bomb was found. Authorities are urgently investigating to expand the case.

At 03:30 on 20 May 2026, Pol. Col. Kraisorn Sri-amphon, chief of the Saraburi Provincial Police Special Investigation Unit, along with the Region 1 narcotics suppression team, searched an unnumbered house in a village in Khu Khot Subdistrict, Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province, following a tip from an informant about drug transport from Saraburi to be temporarily stored at this residence.

During the search, officers found 8 million methamphetamine pills, one pistol, and one bomb. Four suspects were arrested: 1. Mr. Wiroj Patthikul, 42, from Pathum Thani; 2. Mr. Watcharapong Suknongwa, 31, from Surin; 3. Ms. Pirachat Siriket, 21, from Bangkok; and 4. Mrs. Panatda Onsouna, 26, of Laotian nationality.

Investigations revealed that Mr. Wiroj Patthikul planned to store large quantities of drugs to deliver to buyers. He kept them at another house in Village 3, Prachathipat Subdistrict, Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani, used as a drug storage location. Police then searched that house and found an additional 900,000 methamphetamine pills, leading to the suspects being taken in for questioning to expand the investigation.

Interrogations indicated that all suspects received drugs from Saraburi province, using a white Mitsubishi covered pickup truck, license plate Yok-3388 Chonburi, with a red Toyota Yaris sedan, plate 1 Choth 4732 Bangkok, as an escort vehicle. After receiving the drugs, they were initially stored in a rental house on Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok Soi 26. Because that house was small, most drugs were moved to another house before police arrested them.

Preliminary investigations are ongoing to trace and dismantle the entire drug network involved.

Reports state that on 21 May 2026 at 16:00, Pol. Lt. Gen. Watthana Yi-jeen, Commander of Region 1 Police, will personally hold a press conference to announce the results of this major drug network bust, detailing further investigations and suppression measures.
