Trairong Phiwpan, police spokesperson, disclosed that after social media reported that "Chinese gamblers brought a casino from Cambodia to operate on the 10th floor of a parking garage at a famous mall in Mangkon Alley, Yaowarat, exclusively serving VVIP gamblers," he informed Police Chief Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanpetch. The Chief ordered him to promptly coordinate with Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom, Metropolitan Police Bureau Commander, to urgently investigate. If the social media claims proved true, strict legal measures must be applied with expedited reporting.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong added that later, the Metropolitan Police Commander reported that an investigative team was deployed to the area, gathering intelligence from multiple sources. They received cooperation from the property owner referenced in the social media posts and requested historical CCTV footage. The investigative team also conducted an on-site inspection.
