Immigration Investigation Unit 3 Showcases Success in Tracking and Arresting Two Major Suspects from China and France Hiding in Thailand

The Investigation Unit of Division 3, Immigration Bureau, showcases its success in tracking and arresting two major suspects from China and France who fled their crimes and were hiding in Thailand, highlighting their investigative achievements.

On 25 May 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Gen. Phanumas Boonyalak, Commander of the Immigration Police, along with Pol. Maj. Gen. Panthana Nuchnarat, Deputy Commander, ordered Pol. Maj. Gen. Songprot Sirisukha, Commander of Division 3 Immigration Bureau, Pol. Col. Suriya Puangsombat, Chief of the Investigation Unit, and other senior officers to lead a coordinated operation to arrest two significant foreign suspects under international arrest warrants.

Pol. Col. Prinya Klin Kasorn, Deputy Commander of Division 3 Immigration Bureau, revealed that this operation resulted from investigations by the Division 3 Immigration Investigation Unit, which found that MR. RONGYAO WANG, 31, a Chinese national wanted in China for major theft involving millions of yuan in cash, and MR. SALVATORE URSO BALADO, 42, a French national wanted for cross-border drug trafficking offenses by French authorities, had both fled their crimes and entered Thailand on tourist visas.

Further investigation indicated that MR. RONGYAO WANG, the Chinese suspect believed to be a threat to society and public safety, or national security, and wanted by foreign government authorities, had fled to Thailand and was residing at a hotel in the Rama 9 area of Huai Khwang district, Bangkok. Authorities moved in to arrest him and immediately revoked his permission to stay in the kingdom.

Meanwhile, the Investigation Unit of Division 3 Immigration Bureau arrested MR. SALVATORE URSO BALADO, the French suspect wanted for drug offenses including possession, smuggling, trafficking, and distribution without authorization, and operating as part of a criminal organization. He was deemed a prohibited person and a threat to society under Section 12(9) of the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979). He was arrested at a condominium in Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province. His permission to stay in the kingdom was revoked, and both suspects were taken into custody to proceed with legal actions.
