Police Expand Investigation into Ming Chen Sun Involvement in Scammer Network, Uncover Money Trails Linking Numerous Transactions

Cyber police are intensifying their investigation into "Ming Chen Sun," known as Atee4, who was found in possession of military weapons and explosives. He is implicated in a scammer network, with money trails linking numerous transactions.

At 12:00 on 26 May 2026, at the Technology Crime Suppression Division headquarters in Muang Thong Thani, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province, Pol. Maj. Gen. Siriwat Deepor, chief of Cyber Crime Division 1, provided an update on the case against Ming Chen Sun, a Chinese suspect arrested in Chonburi Province for possessing military weapons. He explained the case has two main aspects to consider: one related to national security and the other connected to the scammer gang network. The Technology Crime Suppression Division commander, Pol. Lt. Gen. Surapol Prembutr, has appointed an investigative team to handle the matter.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Siriwat added that cyber police have now completed one primary investigation file, clearly outlining financial trails linked to the suspect. Additionally, they discovered over a thousand transactions involving Third Party Operator (TPO) accounts. The investigative team is working urgently to analyze and trace all financial routes to gather comprehensive evidence for prosecution from all angles.

Currently, responsibilities have been divided among various divisions to proceed with the investigation. Progress review meetings will be held regularly. Should new clarity emerge regarding financial pathways in any case or part thereof, authorities will file charges and proceed with prosecutions separately for each offense and case.
