Roi Et City Police's investigative team discovered that a village health volunteer had become a methamphetamine agent in the area. They planned a sting operation and, upon revealing themselves, arrested him with 3,400 pills as evidence. The suspect claimed he needed extra income due to insufficient funds.

On 26 May 2026, the investigative team of Roi Et City Police, under the command of Police Lieutenant Colonel Kowit Hanpradit, led by the detective chief and officers, arrested Mr. Narit Boonsit, 43, in Roi Et City district. They seized 3,400 methamphetamine pills, one motorcycle, and two mobile phones.

The arrest followed information that the suspect was secretly selling methamphetamine in Roi Et City district. The police arranged for an undercover agent to contact him to buy drugs. When the suspect delivered the methamphetamine, officers revealed themselves and made the arrest.

During initial questioning, the suspect admitted to hiding additional methamphetamine at his residence. Authorities conducted a search and seized more drugs, totaling 3,400 pills as evidence.




The suspect confessed that he works as a village health volunteer in Roi Et City district but faced financial difficulties. He decided to distribute methamphetamine, stating he sold the pills at approximately 50 baht each.

Authorities have detained the suspect along with the seized evidence and handed him over to the Roi Et City Police investigators to proceed with legal action on drug-related charges.
