Police Chief Appoints Deputy Suwat to Lead Investigation in Madame Keng Case Involving Arrests of Amulet Experts

The Chief of the Central Investigation Bureau appointed Deputy Suwat as head of the investigative team for the Madame Keng case, which involves complaints filed against several amulet experts, due to the case's complexity and intricacy.

On 29 May 2026, at the Chaijinda Conference Room on the second floor of the Prachaarak Building, Central Investigation Bureau headquarters, Police Major General Suwat Sangnum, Deputy Chief of the CIB, spoke about developments in the case where Madame Keng filed complaints with the Crime Suppression Division against several amulet experts. He said that Police Lieutenant General Nattasak Chaowanasai, Chief of the CIB, signed an order to appoint an investigative team because the case involves many issues, is complex and complicated, and requires extensive procedures. Therefore, a dedicated team was formed with him as the head. The investigation is currently ongoing, and he refrained from commenting further to avoid confusion, as he was not prepared to discuss the case in detail.

Previously, two individuals had been summoned to hear charges before Deputy Suwat became head of the team; at that time, the cases were handled separately. However, the CIB has since ordered the consolidation of these investigations into a single task force, which is now ongoing. Madame Keng remains the only victim in the case.
