The police spokesperson joined the "HD Police Thailand" big bike rally to promote the "Lights On, Helmets On" campaign, aimed at reducing accidents and losses on the road.
Today (30 May 2026) at 3:30 p.m., Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Phiwpan, Deputy Inspector General of the Royal Thai Police and spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police Office, participated in the opening ceremony of the "Safe Riding: Lights On, Helmets On" campaign at the first HD Police Thailand event. Attendees included Lt. Col. Kittiphop Roddon, Deputy Governor of Chumphon Province; Mr. Charoenchok Phromchutima, Mueang Chumphon District Chief; Gen. Chanathip Bunnak, former Chief of the Office of the Deputy Director for Internal Security Operations Command; Pol. Maj. Gen. Thanawat Watthanakul, Commander of Ranong Provincial Police; big bike riders from groups Panthera Leo and The Nine; and officers from the Mueang Chumphon Police Station. The ceremony and the big bike parade took place at the parking lot in front of Lotus Department Store, Mueang District, Chumphon Province.
This event brought together large motorcycle (big bike) riders to demonstrate social responsibility and respect for traffic laws, serving as a positive example for the broader road user community.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong stated that this big bike riders’ campaign to promote traffic discipline is a good omen for setting the right example for all motorcyclists. Building discipline can begin easily by always turning on motorcycle headlights and wearing helmets.
Additionally, the campaign promotes other important traffic disciplines to reduce accident rates and road fatalities, such as obeying traffic signals and avoiding drunk driving. The police stand ready to support and encourage such beneficial social activities continuously.
