The mother of Nong Ogn acknowledged that a suspect exhibited strange behavior, telling villagers, “You'll never find her.” She requested police to question outdoor movie workers further to find clues. Meanwhile, the Deputy Police Chief visited the area to hold a case progress meeting.
Regarding the case of Nong Ogn, a 7-year-old girl who disappeared from her home before being found dead in the forest, police in Sangklaburi summoned a monk and three men from the village for questioning after discovering a pickup truck belonging to the monastery parked near the spot where she was last seen, as previously reported.
On 2 June 2026, the news team spoke with Mrs. Fon, Nong Ogn’s mother, who said the preliminary autopsy showed multiple skull fractures on the back of her head, bruises on her back, and heavy bruising around her neck with puncture-like marks near both sides of her throat, resembling strangulation. Her left torso had long abrasions, as if dragged, and her genital area was torn.
She expressed suspicion about a village man whom police questioned the previous night because he often walked past her home and greeted family members each time. His behavior was suspicious since, when villagers searched for Nong Ogn, he joined but seemed only to observe rather than help, even discouraging searchers by saying, “Don’t bother looking, you won’t find her.” He was the only one to say, “No matter what, you won’t find her,” while others remained hopeful. She also wants police to question the outdoor movie workers for additional leads and urged authorities to swiftly arrest the perpetrator.
Meanwhile, today, Mr. Chai, her ex-husband and Nong Ogn’s father, who separated from her over three months ago, came to receive Nong Ogn’s body at the Police General Hospital’s forensic institute.
At 11:40 a.m., Police General Thanachoo Wong, Deputy Police Chief, arrived at Sangklaburi Police Station to join a meeting with Police Lieutenant General Phisit Thanprasert, Commander of Provincial Police Region 7, forensic police from Provincial Police Region 7, and Kanchanaburi Provincial Police to summarize progress in the case of the 7-year-old girl’s body discovery.
