Urgent: Suea Dusit Denied Bail, Sent to Prison as Court Cites Disregard for Law

Suea Dusit is scheduled to be transferred to Nonthaburi Provincial Prison after the court denied his bail request, noting his repeated offenses show a disregard for the law and concerns that he may tamper with evidence.

After Mr. Samrit, also known as Suea Dusit, 40, surrendered to police at Bang Kruai Police Station in a case involving assault against his 36-year-old girlfriend, Mira Durongkochayanurak, the investigators from Bang Kruai Police Station, Nonthaburi, obtained an arrest warrant from Nonthaburi Provincial Court No. 806/2569 dated 5 Jun 2026. The charges include sexual assault by threat or use of violence against a person unable to resist, or by causing that person to be mistaken about the assailant's identity, resulting in bodily or psychological harm.

Regarding this matter, at 10:00 on 6 Jun 2026, police officers took custody of Mr. Samrit Rimthuen, or Suea Dusit, 40, from the detention cell to bring him before Nonthaburi Provincial Court. The investigators opposed bail.

While escorting Mr. Samrit, or Suea Dusit, to the prisoner transport vehicle, he appeared irritated and told reporters, “Why won’t you stop filming? Don’t you have any other news to cover?”

Later, at 12:00, after police from Bang Kruai Police Station, Nonthaburi, took custody of Mr. Samrit Rimthuen, or Suea Dusit, 40, to submit him for detention at Nonthaburi Provincial Court, the court ordered that bail be denied. Despite Suea Dusit’s wife bringing 150,000 baht in cash to request bail, they were disappointed. Consequently, Mr. Samrit will be sent to Nonthaburi Provincial Prison this evening, following the investigators’ request who opposed his temporary release.

This is because the suspect had previously been granted bail in a similar case but committed repeated offenses, indicating a disregard for the law. Additionally, the case is still gathering evidence and conducting further witness interviews. Granting bail raises concerns that the suspect might tamper with evidence or influence witnesses, potentially obstructing the investigation and legal process. Therefore, bail was opposed.

Furthermore, the suspect’s actions are ongoing and have broadly impacted the public. If granted bail, there is reasonable belief that he might commit similar offenses again.
