Launch of “Cyber Model Teacher” Project Aims to Deliver Online Vaccines Directly to the Public, Reducing Fraud Problems

Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong launched the “Cyber Model Teacher” project, aiming to deliver targeted online vaccines directly to the public through face-to-face interaction to reduce victims of online crime.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Piwpan, Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police and Deputy Director of the Technology Crime Suppression Center (TCSD) as well as spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police, opened the first integrated technology crime prevention seminar for model teachers. The goal is to create a group of personnel who can pass on their knowledge directly to others through face-to-face meetings to reduce public fraud. The seminar took place at the Jang Yodsuk Room, Immigration Training Center, Royal Thai Police Headquarters. Pol. Maj. Gen. Wasan Techarakasem, Deputy Commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, led 178 police officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau to participate in the seminar.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong said the first integrated technology crime prevention seminar for model teachers is a project initiated by Pol. Gen. Thana Chuwong, Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police and Director of TCSD, who recognizes its importance and supports its continuation. Aware that technology crimes are increasingly complex, the most sustainable solution is to build digital immunity to concretely reduce new victims. Thus, the Royal Thai Police established the Cyber Model Teacher project as a knowledge bridge and as a proactive community monitoring sensor, since reducing online crime victims equates to less harm to the public.

This project will conduct six training sessions, involving community relations officers nationwide from the Metropolitan Police Bureau and Provincial Police Regions 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7. A total of 749 police stations and 1,498 officers will participate to bring the knowledge directly to targeted groups in their communities, aiming to build cyber vaccines for citizens across all areas.
