They were charged with jointly committing robbery using vehicles to transport stolen property to evade arrest and with being part of a criminal gang. The arrests occurred at a house in Soi Lat Pla Khao 72, Intersection 12, Anusawari Subdistrict, Bang Khen District, Bangkok, at 3:30 p.m. on 8 June.

This followed a report made at about 6:13 p.m. on 4 June 2026 by Zhu Xueming, 35, a Chinese jewelry salesman, who was robbed near a coffee shop inside a gas station on Pradit Manutham Road, Nuan Chan Subdistrict, Bueng Kum District, Bangkok. Police promptly arrived to investigate.

At the scene, Zhu Xueming appeared shocked and reported that before the incident, he had arranged an exchange of Thai baht for cryptocurrency online with an unknown suspect at the coffee shop. Upon arrival, he found the suspect sitting inside the shop. He approached and handed over 196,000 baht in cash. The suspect took the money and fled to a motorcycle waiting outside. Zhu tried to chase and wrestle for the money, causing his Huawei phone to fall, which the suspect then took.

Pol. Lt. Col. Phunphat Thammaratjaroen, deputy investigation chief, said that investigators reviewed witness statements and CCTV footage, revealing the suspect ordered coffee before the crime. Afterward, the group fled the gas station on motorcycles as a group. There were nine perpetrators using six motorcycles in total.

Subsequently, Khok Kram investigators obtained arrest and search warrants from the Ratchada Criminal Court and executed search warrant number 327/2569 at the house in Soi Lat Pla Khao 72, Intersection 12. They arrested Saharat Kamjairit, 25, the homeowner, and found seven other suspects gathered inside. They seized clothing worn during the crime and all six motorcycles used. One suspect had already left for another province before police raided the house.
During interrogation, it was learned the suspects were a group of food and delivery riders; some unemployed, some school dropouts. Parinthorn Wongdindam had posted on Facebook offering cryptocurrency exchange services. The victim contacted the suspects to arrange the exchange at the incident location. The suspects planned and assigned roles for the crime, and after the theft, divided the money according to their assigned shares.

The suspects and seized evidence were handed over to investigators at Khok Kram Police Station for legal proceedings.
