Regarding the bombing at the Erawan Shrine in Ratchaprasong intersection on 17 August 2015, which resulted in 20 deaths including 14 foreigners and 6 Thais, and over 100 injuries, nearly 11 years have passed. The prosecution called over 400 witnesses while the defense presented more than 45. The case file exceeded 10,000 pages. Most recently, at 12:43 on 11 June 2026, reports stated that the Bangkok South Criminal Court sentenced two Uighurs to death only for their roles in the bombing at the Erawan Shrine in Ratchaprasong intersection.
