An unidentified woman was found dismembered in the Ratchaprarop 14 area, believed to be a Burmese waitress. Police are urgently pursuing her husband for questioning after CCTV captured him dragging a large suitcase out of the apartment, with jealousy suspected as the motive.

Most recently, on 12 June 2026, additional reports state that Police Sub-Lieutenant Phisit La-inchue, Deputy Inspector (Investigation) of Din Daeng Police Station, received notification of a dismembered body stuffed into plastic boxes.

At an apartment in Soi Ratchaprarop 14, he promptly went to the scene accompanied by Police Major General Worasak Phisitbananakorn, Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 1; Police Colonel Sakya Saengwan, Deputy Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 1; Police Colonel Phasit Kateuangngan, Superintendent of Din Daeng Police Station; officers from the Detective Unit of Metropolitan Police Division 1; forensic team; forensic pathologist from Ramathibodi Hospital; and volunteers from Ruamkatanyu Foundation.

The scene was a three-story residential building. Inside the room were signs of struggle and ransacking. On the balcony behind the room was a large black plastic box with a lid, emitting a strong odor of decay. Upon opening the box, wrapped in plastic, the body was found dismembered: the head was severed, both arms cut off at the shoulders, both legs cut off at the knees, with deep but incomplete cuts on the thighs, and the abdomen was also slit open. The remaining body parts are still being sought. CCTV footage showed the victim’s husband dragging a large suitcase out of the apartment.

Investigations suggest the deceased is Ms. Aye Aye Nwe, 34, a Burmese national and the apartment owner. She worked as a waitress at a restaurant in the Khlong Toei area. Her relatives had reported her missing. Confirmation of identity is pending forensic verification at Ramathibodi Hospital.

The prime suspect is Mr. Aung Pyae, a Burmese national and the victim’s husband, who works as a cook at a nightclub in the Phetchaburi area. Police are urgently seeking him for questioning.

During the investigation, it was learned that before the incident, Mr. Aung Myo Win, a Burmese relative of the victim, contacted Police Sub-Lieutenant Phisit La-inchue at Din Daeng Police Station to report the missing woman. They learned she was residing at an apartment in Soi Ratchaprarop 14. Police then arranged to visit the apartment.

With permission from the apartment owner and caretaker, police inspected the room, detecting a strong odor of decay. Initially, no body was found inside, but signs of struggle and ransacking were evident. Outside on the balcony near the head of the bed, they found a large black plastic box with a lid. Opening it revealed the deceased’s body. The victim’s relatives reported that her husband, Mr. Aung Pyae, a Burmese national, disappeared after the incident.

Preliminary investigation indicates the brutal murder may have been caused by jealousy after the husband learned that his wife had a new male partner.
