Mans Body Found Murdered and Buried in Soil Bed at Don Mueang House

Officials found a man's body, murdered and stuffed into a crate buried in a cannabis soil bed on the second floor of a house in Don Mueang. A witness who saw the incident called the police. Authorities are urgently pursuing the suspects, believed to number three.

At 05:00 on 15 Jun 2026 GMT+7, Police Lieutenant Suchai Surasiang, Deputy Inspector (Investigation) of Don Mueang Police Station, received a report of a male stabbing victim whose body was hidden in a plastic crate inside a village on Therd Ratchan Road, Sikhun Subdistrict, Don Mueang District. He coordinated with the forensic team, medical examiners from Bhumibol Hospital, and Poh Teck Tung Foundation staff to investigate.

At the scene on the second floor of a house, authorities found a large blue plastic crate buried in a cannabis planting soil bed, covered by another layer of soil. When opened, a man's body was found wearing a green football shirt with number 21 and shorts, with tattoos on both arms. The body was in a seated, bent-forward position. Officials removed the body from the crate and identified him as Mr. Chaisit Khanta, 34, the homeowner's son. Examination revealed a single stab wound in the center of his chest.

Investigations revealed the victim’s car and mobile phone were missing. The case remains under active investigation. Initial findings indicate the suspects have been identified and are believed to be about three individuals.

The incident originated around 22:00 on 14 Jun 2026 GMT+7, when Don Mueang Police Station received a report of a disturbance in the village. Upon arrival, officers found no incident. However, at 05:00 the next day, police were alerted to a homicide at the same house. They arrived with the witness who saw the event, but found no abnormalities or occupants inside. The witness insisted a murder had occurred. Officers searched around the house and found the second-floor room air-conditioned and locked from the inside. They forced the door open, finding soil and a necklace on the planter box. Digging through the soil, they uncovered a blue plastic crate, which contained the deceased.

Meanwhile, Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, along with Police Major General Kiatkul Sonthien, Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 2, Police Colonel Saksit Meesawat, Deputy Commander of Division 2, and Police Colonel Wanchai Wongwanichanan, Chief of Don Mueang Police Station, convened to follow up on the case at Don Mueang Police Station.

The Chief of Don Mueang Police Station ordered the investigation unit to conduct a thorough sweep of CCTV footage around the village and possible escape routes to quickly apprehend the three suspects involved.

Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
