Man Who Stabbed Don Mueang Cannabis Dealer Still Laughing Has History of Stealing 19 Guns

The suspect who stabbed the Don Mueang cannabis dealer still laughs, confirming he alone killed and concealed the body. Police remain unconvinced and plan detailed questioning today, considering a reenactment. The suspect has a history of stealing 19 guns.

The case involves Mr. Chaisit Khanta, or Poy, 34, a cannabis dealer stabbed to death by Mr. Supakorn Jeensri, 27, inside a residence. Two friends were also present: Mr. Chayaphol Chaisri, 27, and Mr. Kritthanat Sripoomchai, 24. The body was stuffed into a plastic crate and hidden in a cannabis growing bed on the second floor of the house, which also operated as a cannabis shop in a two-story townhouse in Don Mueang. The suspect claimed he was accused by the victim of stealing a watch and insulting his parents; they arranged to resolve the dispute at the house but failed, leading to the killing and concealment.

At 09:30 on 16 Jun 2026 GMT+7, Police Sub-Lieutenant Suchai Surasiang, deputy investigator at Don Mueang Police Station, detained the three suspects charged with intentional murder, concealing a corpse, and carrying a knife in public without permission. They were held at Don Mueang Police Station and taken out one by one for fingerprinting. The stabbing suspect, Mr. Supakorn, showed no signs of remorse, smiling and laughing cheerfully, while the others appeared indifferent.

In initial interrogations, Mr. Supakorn confessed to stabbing and concealing the body alone, without implicating others. Mr. Kritthanat, accused of stealing the victim's watch, maintained his denial. Mr. Chayaphol denied involvement at the arrest stage and has yet to provide further statements.

Don Mueang police confirmed investigators will complete questioning all three suspects today, focusing on the stolen property and the origin of the knife—whether Mr. Supakorn intended to use it to commit the crime. Mr. Chayaphol will also undergo thorough questioning.

Investigators remain skeptical of the suspects' statements, especially the claims denying theft of the watch and alleging the victim insulted the stabbing suspect's parents. They plan to gather additional evidence to support the case file.

Reports indicate senior officers are considering whether to conduct a reenactment of the confession at the crime scene with all three suspects, weighing the suspects' willingness and safety concerns.

Regarding detention, if interrogations conclude today, the suspects will be sent to the Criminal Court for detention immediately; if not, this will occur tomorrow. Police will oppose bail due to the serious nature and high penalties of the case.

Previously, the deceased, Mr. Chaisit, filed a complaint with Don Mueang Police Station on 14 Jun 2026 GMT+7 at about 11:17, accusing Mr. Kritthanat of stealing his gold-colored NIXON watch.

Initial reports say Mr. Kritthanat, a junior of the victim, was invited by the victim to the house on 13 Jun 2026 GMT+7 at 19:00. Around midnight, Mr. Kritthanat left. At 08:00 on 14 Jun, the victim noticed the watch missing, which had been placed near the TV inside the house.

Further checks showed the victim's phone was locked and inaccessible, suggesting Mr. Kritthanat tried to access the victim's phone number but was blocked.

Criminal records show the stabbing suspect, Mr. Supakorn, was previously charged with stealing 19 firearms from the Air Force in 2021 while serving as a conscript. Mr. Kritthanat has a record for draft evasion. Mr. Chayaphol has no criminal history.
