On 17 June 2026, Major General Winthai Suwaree, Army Spokesperson, stated that at approximately 09:10 today, the Army received an initial report of a firearm incident inside Kalasin Provincial Hall. The perpetrator was a clerk conscription officer from Mueang Kalasin District, who used a handgun to shoot and kill the provincial conscription officer inside the workplace.
Relevant agencies and police are currently conducting an investigation and gathering evidence to proceed according to legal procedures.
