On 18 Jun 2026 GMT+7, a garbage collector found the body of an unidentified woman with long red hair and full back tattoos, wrapped in a bag and tied, discarded in a roadside trash bin in Krasae Bon Subdistrict, Rayong Province. The body was heavily decomposed, estimated to have been dead for at least 4-5 days. Police have not ruled out any possibilities, including natural death, accident, or assault followed by body disposal to conceal a crime. Investigators have been ordered to urgently review CCTV footage from entry and exit points in the area, as well as to check missing persons reports and records of migrant workers in detail, as previously reported.
In the latest development, Pol. Maj. Gen. Chokchai Ngamwong, Deputy Commander of Region 2 Police, Pol. Col. Jirawat Saksriwatana, Deputy Commander of Rayong Provincial Police, Pol. Col. Somchai Wongpoonsuk, Chief of Klaeng Police Station, Pol. Lt. Col. Chenyu Soraudonthanthon, Deputy Chief of Investigations at Klaeng Police Station, Pol. Lt. Col. Wichit Tangjitrawattanakul, and investigative teams from Region 2, Rayong Province, and Klaeng Police Station held a joint meeting to gather information about the deceased.
From the site investigation, the body found in the trash bin was identified as Ms. Chonthicha, aged 17, also known as 'Fon.' The cause of death may be related to injuries on the body, but it cannot yet be confirmed whether these were caused by sharp objects. A detailed medical examination is ongoing.
Furthermore, investigations revealed the deceased had a husband residing in Klaeng District, Rayong Province. Authorities will summon Ms. Chonthicha’s husband for questioning to determine the true cause of death.
