Thirapong Pornpotthanamas, Deputy Traffic Inspector at Chokchai Police Station, Chokchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, who used his service firearm to shoot his wife, Ms. Tiraya "Bam" Pornpotthanamas, 37, from Nong Ki District, Buriram Province, resulting in her death.
He also shot Ms. Mantana Laojirakorn, 58, the mother of Tiraya, causing critical injuries. The incident occurred in front of the deceased's fitness center, located behind Sar Ya Ma Market in the municipality of Nang Rong District, Buriram Province, on 17 June.
